How do i put air in my tires I have a Specalized road bike? |
And i also have the specalize pump. The tires require 115 to 125 PSI but i dont know how to do it. Please help me!! Thanks :) Is the Specialized pump a floor pump? If not go out and buy yourself a good floor pump (for presta valve stems,) remove the little valve stem cover, unscrew (turn to the left) the little lock-nut, push pump head down onto valve stem, operate pump, pull pump head off of valve stem, tighten lock-nut, replace the valve stem cover. Do this before every ride and your golden. Source(s): http://www.excelsports.com/new.asp?page=... If your bike has Presta valves on it, you need to unscrew the little nut on the end and depress it till u hear a little air come out, then attach your pump and inflate to desired pressure. Make sure you use the proper head on the pump to inflate your tires. if your pump only has a schrader head you will need a presta adapter to inflate your tires. You need some one to actually show you. The reason it can't be dscribed is that one would need to see the pump to see how the locking mechanism works. Is it a floor pump or a frame pump? does it have a pressure guage? Do you have presta or schrader valves? It's very easy to do, and I'm both surprised and concerned that you can't figure it out for yourself. Take the bike back where you bought it, or where you bought the pump, or even any twit riding by on a bmx bike. If you know how to put gas in your car, you can figure this out. |
