I will be living near the Landmark mall in Alexandria.
To my knowledge there are no direct roots for biking from Seminary Road to Rosslyn. You could go up Van Dorn Street to King Street, then cut through Fairlington to where Quaker connects with I-395. At that point there is a bike trail heading east through Park Fairfax and over to South Glebe Road. That trail will lead you to the GW Parkway where you hook up with the bike/running trail there headed north around past Teddy Roosevelt Island and into Rosslyn. Check out BikeWashington (http://bikewashington.org/) or Bike Arlington (http://www.bikearlington.com/) or contact a local bike shop like Spokes on Quaker Lane in Alexandria. You could take the Holmes Run Greenway, which runs along Holmes Run stream, to the Old Town area. Go through Old Town to the riverfront and go North (left) and catch the very scenic Mt. Vernon Trail along the Potomac. That ends right in Rosslyn. It's an indirect route but it's nice and it's mostly trails.
