Am I the only 14 year old who races road bikes competitively? I am on a team and have placed in the top five or better in all but one of my races. Is their anyone else like me. are you a lame ffuck? yes, i think so. dude, i live in georgia,i'm 14,i'm on a cycling team,and i race competivly. i'm sponcered too,by easton. they send me stuff every month. my bike is full carbon and only weighs about 5 pounds. i'm signed with team discovery That's great, keep up the good work, and be careful, out there..Pretty soon, you will be racing, with the big boys!! What a great sport racing is, it teaches you how to control yourself, and how to handle yourself, in a tough situation..Good Luck, with your racing!! honey, i don't know anybody else who race but you. but i don't think you are the only one around the world. Racing is good and kudos to your ranking but just be careful and don't forget your homework. im 11 years old and i race. i know a lot of kids that are 14 and under who race. its not the biggest sport for kids but there is still kids in it. im on a jounior development team and there can be 20+ kids in my age group in races. also at jounior road racing camp, there was about 150-200 kids under 18. but i do wish that there were more kids in mtn bike racing. maybe im or e-mail me sometime so we can talk. no, there are kids out there that race. when i was 14 i would have LOVED to be on a team, and really racing, but there wasn't anything in my area, let alone any other girls into cycling. as far as placing in top5 in races and such, there probably aren't too many. this reminds me of reading about Lance armstrong as a kid. stick with it, if you love the sport...you could end up racing professionally. |
