What is the law relating to use of a bike dog trailer on the road? |
What is the law relating to use of a bike dog trailer on the road? I'm not sure where you are, but here in London I'm not aware of the laws concerning these trailers that are becoming very fashionable for putting either children or dogs. To be honest I wouldn't take it on the busy roads of london or any road that had fast moving or a lot of traffic on it - unless maybe on a cycling path....maybe in quieter parts of town would be fine or through the park even.....although it's normally a no-no to cycle on the pavements in London, having a child or dog on board would mean you're not cycling hell for leather & shouldn't upset pedestrians too much. Sorry! couldn't find anything about this law wise though....although cyclists cycle on road with child seats attached to their bikes so trailers must come under the same catagory I guess. Why don't you make your dog walk. why would you be trailing it around behind your bicycle anyway. |
