Bike question!!!!? |
i dont know anything about bikes! i want to buy my bf one just to ride around town, however we have alot of hills in our area so i would love to get something lightweight and comfortable. OH also something reasonably priced. whats the best KIND of bike/model/maker to go with? road bike or cruiser bike? i have no idea im sooo lost so PLEASE help!!! OK hears a real answer lol. I suggest not a road bike b/c there for people who are a little more serious and there a lot more money. And don't go with a mountain bike either as they are for off road trails thar also a little pricey. I suggest a hi-bred bike half mountain half road easier on the back too b/c they sit you up more. you want to spend a little money, DON'T buy a wal-mart bike unless you prefer to walk it instead of riding it. for 300 you can get a descent bike. Jamis is known for there reliability and affordable prices. I have three now and always had Jamis bikes, they never let me down. And you can't beat there prices. good luck. you'll probably get slapped or- oh, shoot...you said "BIKES" you need a mountain bike cause yall have alot of hills so you can change gears.... www.bikes.com some harley-davison or some honda or suzuki have a good day sid That depends on what your budget is and how "into" it he is. Mountain bikes can run BIG bank, but youre not needing that. Youll want a hard tail. Stay away from full suspension if hes only riding around town and mild trails. You lose power on the flats with a full suspension. If your not opposed to a used bike, try the pawn shops. You can usually find a nice Gary Fisher, Cannondale or Trek in one moderatley and fairly priced. 2-300 If you just want something new but cheap. Hit Walmart and grab a Schwin. 1-200 i think you can get a k2. i have one and i love in the mountains. its so light waite and its so smooth riding and only $100. |
