Is a Kawasaki KLX 110 a good bike for a 12 yr old girl who is 5' tall 110 lbs.? She never road before.? um, really it depends whether she can easily reach the groung from it. I dont know if this little klx has a clutch or if it's a semi automatic, but it's best to start with a semi automatic bike thats really low to the ground, like a honda crf 50. i know its small, really small, but you can still learn a lot from a little bike, to have some experience under your belt before you move on to something bigger. If she isn't experienced, it would be best to start with something thats a semi automatic that the rider can reach easily with their feet without having to stretch. When I started motocross, and got my first real racing bike, it was an itsy-bitsy yamaha yz 80, but I had already been through a moped and a little four stroke trail bike before I got the yz. and the yz 80 taught me plenty of lessons that im glad I learned on the yz 80 rather than my current honda cr 125... it's good to see what bike she feels comfortable on if possible, but the key points for a beginner are reaching the ground easily, a semi automatic to learn how to controll it before you have to start to worry about clutch controll etc, and being a size that feels comfortable for the rider. there is no bike to jump on and ride it strait away, just bikes that make it easier to get going before you move on to a more advanced machine. |
