Which is a better brand of road bikes pinarello, trek or colnago? |
Which is a better brand of road bikes pinarello, trek or colnago? none HARLEY depends on your budget and type of riding... they are all good names, and all make excellent full carbon bikes Trek is an American name, while the other two are Italian Trek usually comes with Shimano components, while the other two come with Campagnolo If I had the money, I would get a Colnago C50 with full Campy Record. TREK - I have been riding my aluminum trek for 10 years. It has never let me down. Fastest road bike I have ever ridden. i use specialized and it is great. it and trek are my two favorites. the specialized entry-level bike is cheaper for the money, while at the same time, lighter and with better components. The best two brands' top of the line bikes are pinarello and specialized. If youre on a tight budget, go with specialized. If you have lots of money to spend, go with the top-of-the-line pinarello. They're all very good especially the higher end models. In my eyes, a Pinarello or a Colnago carries more snob factor even if the Trek is just as technologically advanced. Depends on who you are trying to impress. If you are buying a low-end frame/bike, they're probably all built by the same ODM factory in Taiwan/China, so make your decision based on the color and components spec'd. In terms of the high-end frames, each brand has its own reputation for excellence and material selection. Trek tends to position itself as an innovator of materials while Pinarello and Colnago brand themselves on craftsmanship and their race-tested heritage. The reality is that for $$$$, they're all going to be pretty nice rides and it'll be more of an issue of whether you've got the legs and engine to justify the expenditure 8-)... Definately agree with "Andrew H", in that depending on the fitness of your engine and strength of your legs, you should determine, or should we say, "worthy" of buying and riding a $7,000 bike, for example. That's just one theory. But here's mine- if you got it, why not? If one has $7,000 to spend on a Colnago, I'm sure he/she can afford, several high end bikes (i.e. I wish I was one, by the by...hehe). Anyways, I myself am looking to "upgrade" to an exotic- like a Pinarello. One of my favorite riders is A. Valverde, and he right now rides a Pinarello. So, I'm looking into a Pinarello Paris Carbon. I think with a Campy Chorus gruppo, it will come to about $5,500~5,600. I'm saving up- wish me luck on saving as fast as I can! So, here's my list: 1) Pinarello 2) Colnago 3) Trek Bottomline: it's up to your taste(s). Good riding! |
