How do you know what seat height to get with an off road motorcycle? |
Hey well Im Ashley and I want to save up for an off road motorcycle[dirt bike]!!! I am looking on the internet to see what model I should save up for but Im not sure about my height!!! If you know how to tell what the seat height should be or if you are smart when it comes to this stuff and you know some models that would be good for someone who is 5ft 2in or 5ft 3in, please tell me... Thank you lets see---feet should touch ground flat footed,arms slightly bent when grasping handle bars.Model bike wont matter much just get it to fit you.You cant adjust a bike much you got to get a bike that fits you.get a cycle training course and that will help you understand your bike more. Get the safety gear it can save you much pain and I wish people like J.P. up above wouldnt read these questions. Source(s): 15 years riding you have to go and see what you need, and actually sit on one. You should be able to sit and touch the ground flat footed. On most bikes you can adjust the seat hight too. i suggest a honda 250x, my favorite Well, since you are going to be riding under some very low objects,,2 feet or less,,,you shouldn't get one at all,,,,you people kill me with these questions.....if you are going to buy a dirt bike,,,you are going to be riding out in the open I would hope,,,do you really think dirt bikes come with adjustable seats as far as your height is concerned? You could buy a dirt bike and put an adjustable bicycle seat on there, then you could raise it up and down. I wish I didn't look at some of these questions. dirt bikes have alot of travel in rear suspension.seats have to be high.you'll usually stop with right foot on brake,left on ground,leaning over.consider how much weight you can handle,maybe a 125cc,not so much the height.besides,if your sitting down,your going too slow!! |
