What is a better bike Honda CBR600RR Suzuiki GSX-R600 and Yamaha YZF-R6? |
I'm planing to buy my first street bike and I just can't decide which one to choose from. I have road a dirt bike for 8 plus years, and I will be taking a motorcycle safety class before I make my purchase. the all new cbr600rr is suposed to be the latest and greatest but buy the one you want they ae all more than the average joe will be able to expoit The forecast was anything but cer- tain. Unpredictable combinations of currents and forces developed into a deluge鈥?and we鈥檙e not just talking about the weather. A 600 comparison test produces a perfect storm of facts, impres- sions and opinions. Just when you think you鈥檝e got a steady barometer reading on the state of 600 class performance, the ele- ments change dramatically. Last year we picked the Suzuki GSX-R as the top bike in the 600 class, but this year its rivals have all undergone serious revision. Honda鈥檚 CBR600RR arrives in trimmer condition with sharpened reflexes; Yamaha鈥檚 manic R6 lands with a power gain and steadier handling; Triumph shows up with a boost in displacement; and Kawasaki鈥檚 ZX-6R, a strong runner-up in last year鈥檚 600 scuffle, Test 600 Shootout ENLIGH TENMENT > Honda CBR600RR > Kawasaki ZX-6R > Suzuki GSX-R600 > Triumph Daytona 650 > Yamaha R6 returns with the most radical design over- haul of the group. Where do we start? The simple logistics of a 600 comparison test are daunting enough, which is why we welcomed an invitation from Sport Rider magazine to collaborate on a test. Costa Mouzouris and Paul Penzo travelled to Cali- fornia, where the state was still recovering from an unusual run of bad weather, with record rainfall producing landslides, flooding and road closures. Fortunately, a clear spell produced a couple of mostly dry days, allow- ing sufficient time to sample the five 600s. For the race track test, the bikes were fitted with Michelin鈥檚 latest Power Race DOT racing radials in soft front and medi- um rear compounds. by http://www.dhaarvi.blogspot.com... http://209.85.165.104/search?q=cache:bhp... None of them are better. Sport rider, and cycle world and all of those magazines compare all of the 600's so you can read some of the articles before you make a decision. All of them are great bikes and so similar in performance that you wont notice the difference, especially since you are a new rider. Go to your local dealer and sit on all the bikes... for a good 10 minutes and see how they feel. I would make my decision using the following three factors... Comfort, price, looks. Find which one is the most comfortable, looks the best.. then see if the dealer is offering any special deals. You cant go wrong with any of those choices. Good luck and have fun! Safety class or not, DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE AS A FIRST BIKE. That's like finishing your first solo flight in a 2-seat Cessna and asking if you should get an FA-18 fighter jet as a first airplane! Your dirtbike experience will help, but you can go faster in 1st gear on any of these than your dirtbike can do WFO, and you don't have traffic and other distractions on the trail. Buy a used SV650 first, and learn to ride it well on the street before you start thinking about a supersport bike. Seriously. I bought the gsxr600 for my first bike, and its a great bike to learn on. and if you do drop it, thier are alot of places out there to get replacement parts. http://www.mrcycles.com/fiche_select.asp...
