Can you recommend a good bike for me? |
I would like a bike that I can use for trails, town biking and very rarely off road. I am male, 5'10" and about 14 stones. I looked into buying a bike last year but was pretty confused about all the options i.e. wheel size, frame size, break type, gear type etc. Can any one recommend a bike that would be suitable for me for under 拢300. Any tips would be very helpful. Thanks It seems to me you are talking about a Hybrid bike. For the price range and quality I would recommend for you to check "Specialized" (both the Sirrus and the Globe range), they have good options for you. Also "Trek" has nice bikes in the FX range. This bikes have the kind of tyres you would need for a comfortable ride in urban and pave roads and some lite off road cycling. (it is a compromise, but a good one). The same could be said about the brakes, and other components. Think about a bike that has: mud guards and lights. Or that this gadgets can be easily adapted to it in the future. Summer is around the corner, but bad weather is there at almost any time and such gadgets make a difference. As far as size is concern, ask at a reputable dealer, they will assist you with the right size frame and with the fine adjustments of seat and stem.
