I was think of getting the Honda CRF150F
How much does the gas last for (time) and can I use it in the street without it damaging the tires or skidding due to no traction since it's meant for off-road. (a forrest preserve is 2 neighborhood blocks from my house. How do I get off the bike? I'm use to a reg. bike where I lift my leg up like a dog peeing, than swing it around the back of the bike. But this dirt bike actually gets taller at the tail.
First of all the gas queston...Depends upon what type of bike and what type of tank you have on it...If it is a desert tank on a four stroke it will last over a 100 miles usually...If it is a regular tank on a four stroke about 70 miles...If it is a two stroke thats a whole nother story your talking like 30 miles...It also depends upon your style of riding and the type of riding your doing...As for riding it on the street....You shouldn't be skidding if you have off road tires on but yes it will burn up your tires faster if you ride on the road but if its only 2 blocks you'll never know...I road over 200 miles on pavement in mexico with new dirt tires on and they are still just fine.....And not sure what the last part of your question was supposed to be about it getting taller in the back...Once again don't know what type of bike you have...Opps my bad I just noticed you said 150...Those are awesome bikes I just sold mine...But I wouldn't by the 150F I would buy the 150 expert with the full suspension, electronic start and the bomb engine...If I wasn't getting that I would buy a Honda 250X. Also it is hard to gauge not knowing your size, age or riding expierance...I am 5 foot 2 inches and I currently ride a 250 but the bike is too tall/hevey for me which makes it hard when I single track, but the suspension makes it so worth it, but if I had the money I would buy me a Honda CRF150 Expert...Just like the 250 but smaller and lighter... |
