Ideas for m/bike security please!!!?

So far I have a large ring set in the wall in my front yard. Through that I have a quite chunky square link chain. The last thieves managed to get through (I don't know how, never found it) an inch thick cable lock with an external articulated skeleton that was attached to the first chain. An alarm probably won't be any good as I slept through the last theft, (only a few feet from my window) and the subsequent explosion when they set fire to it a few yards down the road. I am also restricted as it's council property and the yard is shared with a neighbour. Money is also tight as I'm disabled and on a very low income. These little a****oles have rendered me housebound just for their little bit of fun. PS. It was a Honda 90, step through, I can't swing myself over a conventional bike. Any ideas guys and gals?

When someone is wanting to steal a bike, and is actually planned out-they will recon the area and find out what they will need to take it. You also have the flybys that steal on impulse. I was fortunate enough to have a warning before one of mine was stolen, had I not been that lucky-it would of been gone. After that I made sure it wouldnt happen again. This may not help you but I had good luck with it before my house was done. Living in an apartment without any garages-much like your current situation-I did this. Underneath the seat I installed an infrared level system-this device had a zone of 200 feet. The receiver was on my nightstand. Very loud pitched noise once activated-I am a very sound sleeper as well, it worked. I also. If the bike was tilted more than a few degrees the siren would go off. I also had an amplified speaker that was wired under the ground and placed on our second story balcony. That way when it was activated-they would take off, with hopes of someone spotting them. I also had a high-powered pellet gun right by the window-only thing legal to cause them bodily harm. You can pick up the sensor and receiver for around 65.00(for a very decent one) at any electronics store, about 35 dollars for a low grade-but it should work for you. Good luck and ride safe
can you move it to the back yard where it is probably less visible
Paint it pink and apply gay pride stickers all over it.
Can you use a disc lock? It goes through the disc brake on the front or back wheel. Anyone trying to drive away would do a spectacular stoppie.

Check out the pic top left, use it as well as the chain.
is there anyway you can put the bike in your house, just inside the door maby ?other than that wiring it to mains electrical power and electricut the b*******s(could be e legal though)
If they want it they will get it the best you can do is make it has hard as possible so put as many locks as possible on it and locked to something solid,an alarm might be a good idea. The next idea comes from a friend he takes his battery out (he redid the leads with male and female spade connections so he opens the panel a holding strap and two wires its out). Not easy to start then also you could put a bike cover over it. Check with you local police for advise as well. best of luck.
Try covering the bike and putting it more out of sight. Also, dont chain it to the ground, chain it to something elevated, that makes it harder for theives to get leverage to break the chain. You can also put a motion sensor light near the bike.
Also, if its right outside your window, set up a camera to catch those bastards if they try again.
Good luck
