Best bike for less than $500? |
Just general riding around the neighbourhood maybe dirt roads for exercise...Nothing fancy...Just a decent bike. for less the $ 500 you can get allot of easy going fun to ride hard-tail bikes that might fit what you want to do perfectly. i have a trek 4300 that i got for $ 480 and it has fit me well. the newer versions are basically the same. its great for both road and smooth hard packed dirt. i even do a little dirt trail riding myself. so if you want a bike like ur talking about go to trek.com and find yourself one and then you can go to (find dealers ) to find a shop that have them near you. The best $500 bike is a slightly used bike that someone else paid $700-800+ for. Check the usual places.....Ebay, Craigslist, the paper. Other good places: a college campus, pawn shops, garage sales, estate sales. Go to new shops and look / ride the nice bikes and then look for one used. Good luck. |
