I am looking to buy a 250 cc street sport bike! any suggestions? |
I am restricted to a 250 cc bike for my first year on the roads, as per victorian state legislations, which is okay as i have no experience of riding one.My budget is around 3-4000 Australian dollars. Personally i like the looks of the cbr 250, but i am open to all ur suggestions. I obviously have priority for looks and power. PLEASE HELP ME OUT! thank you!!:) I got my motorcycle licence in the ACT. The Fireblade 250 is the fastest thing you can get on your L's. If you just want a bike to fang around I had an Aprillia 125. Great bike, real fast, better balance than the Honda but a bit more maintainance because it is a 2 stroke. There are a few small Kawasaki's that are pretty sharp but the Honda is quicker. The only downside with the Honda is that the plastic front is all one piece. This means if you drop it you have to replace the whole thing which can be expensive. I would go for a Honda 250RR about 2002- 2004 depending on mileage. The bonus of a 250RR is that it has a seat for passengers which is real handy especially if you have a missus. Kymco Venox 250. I just saw one yesterday at a dealership. Its a beautiful little v-twin 250. They were about $3500 US. Kawasaki has the 250 Ninja. It was called an EX250 here, but GPX250 or ZZR250 in the rest of the world. I believe they retailed for about $2999 US. Hyosung has a GT250 Comet starting at about $2500 US. And one of the nicest lookers, and auto transmission too- Saperos 250CVT for $3399 US. UM makes a cool little V2S 250R for about $3699US. I hope this gives you some more ideas other than the 'big 4' (Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki). KAWASAKI EX 250 (ninja 250) reliable and Super cheap ($3000 american ) |
