I need a trail bike? |
i am looking for a trail bike for under 500$. My style of riding is from fire roads to goat paths. I dont want rear sspension. This bike will not be used for any street riding at all so i do not want a all terain bike. I want something that wont fall apart or break too easy.(i always break deraliers) Hey, My advice... go do lots of test riding. I don't want to suggest a particular brand, because the bike needs to be comfortable for you. At that price range, you'll have many options that will be similar in quality. Here are a few to check: trek 4300 Specialized Hard Rock Norco Scrambler Gary fisher Marlin There are many many more. You'll ride a bike and know that its good for you, just do lots of test riding good luck Source(s): work in a bike shop I have a nice Trek that was about $300 and has held up well on some wild single tracks here in the mountains of California! for around 500 bucks the best thing money can buy is a 2008 specialized hardrock comp disc. they retail at 550 and are great bikes. check out the specs, nothing can beat it for the price and it has a lifetime warranty on the frame and 1 year on any moving parts (i.e. cranks, fork, pedals) check out specialized link at http://www.specialized.com/bc/sbcbkmodel... work at a specialized dealer Specialized makes good bike in that price range. Check out the Hardrock Pro or Rockhopper with disc brakes. You should not need any upgrades for a bit. |
