Which bike to choose? Honda Sporty Unicorn or TVS Apache RTR160?

I want to buy a bike in the range of 150CC - 160CC . The choices are either Honda Sporty Unicorn or TVS Apache RTR160. Suggest me one. I am so confused to choose between these. I read lot of reviews and still confused. Comparing to Unicorn, RTR160 has new technologies and more bhp as well as more CC. But Unicorn has smooth engine and smooth performance. Heard Apache will look like a small bike for taller guys. I am 5' 10". My likes in bikes are,
1. Look & Style [Should fit perfect for me]
2. Performance [in pickups, maintenance, etc.]
3. Fuel efficiency [Not main factor though]

Kindly give your valuable suggestions in deciding. And no Pulsars [seeing lot of them on roads] and no CBZ - Xtreme [New one's look sucks comparing to the old one.]

Thanks in advance.

Accoring to my knowledge Honda Unicorn is the Best in its class of 150-160 segment because of its mono suspension and greater pick and good milage rides high speed without making unwanted noise. and Apache the en gin's performance is not that much good
Hey Bro ,

If u really want to drive or cruise at high speed with comfort and control than I wud suggest you go for the Apache RTR160cc.

Clarifying all ur doubts,,,

PickUP----
Though I prefer Yamaha Rx series .
This machine also has a remarkable pickup..
TVS claims the new Apache 160cc RTR can make a top speed of 118kph and can reach 60kph in 4.8s and 100kph in 17.7s.

Power------
TVS apache rtr 160cc engine which produces 15.2bhp at 8500 rpm and 13.1Nm at 6000 rpm.
So its powerful engine ..when compared to the unicorn ,,right?

Braking --------------
If you really wish to enjoy the ride ,,ur brakes should be compatable ..there comes into scene the petal type 270mm disc brake of TVS RTR. This kind of disc鈥檚 design is a proved one and it is also seen in sports bikes such as Kawasaki Ninja ZX 鈥?10 R.

Comfort -------------
The TVS machine is not unly churns out more power but is also very very comfortable..NO vibrations even after exceeding 90kmph...,,

Engine ---
The new Apache RTR is powered by a 159.7cc engine which develops maximum power of 15.2bhp at 8500 rpm (1.3bhp less than Pulsar 180cc) and a peak torque of 13.1Nm at 6000 rpm (little greater than pulsar 150cc and Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme). The new engine is not just an overbore of the Apache鈥檚 150cc engine. The engine鈥檚 stroke was cut down to 52.9 mm and then the bore grew to 62 mm.

After a long time I liked this bike from TVS factory..the earlier was the Fiero F1.

Secondly think logically why to spend hard earned bucks for just a mere sticker upgrade like the ones in revised karizma and the unicorn,,..think and take a wise decission.

Don't waste time ,,go for a test ride,,
u will get the answer ..
best of luck ...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
yo dude honda unicorn is the best in its class. stylish, good fuel efficiency for a 150-160 cc bike

gr8 riding comfort with its momo suspn. well trust me its a freat bike.

tvs apache? it aint damn bad, but the engine isnt reliable as hondas.

anyways, by my experience in driving both the bikes, i will go with a honda unicorn than the apache.

bike is very stylish in its new looks. the shining parts make it gr8!!
I would personally go for TVS Apache RTR160.
Honda Unicorn
Hey buddy both r cool bikes but when comparing the performance of both the bike Honda Unicorn is the best.
Apache is a better choice, but as ur tall it looks odd for ur height.. i think Unicorn is better for u..
