Can you register a Honda Z 50 Mini bike and legally ride it on the public roads?
When any manufacturer produces a bike to be used on the street it is subjected to EPA and DOT tests. Bikes sold for off road are not tested and the paperwork that comes with from the factory usually designates them as OFF ROAD ONLY. Honda Z50s are not road legal no matter what equipment you put on them. On the other hand I am sure someone somewhere has managed to sneak on by, there was a guy in Massachusetts who managed to get a Honda ATC 250 Big Red registered, he rode it around till the cops saw him, he ended up paying a big fine.
It would have to pass a safety check first
i do belive you will be able to register it as long as it has a head light and a rear running /brake light but in most state there is a minimum cc requirement to ride on freeways but surface streets should be fine.
