Trail bikes? |
I want to get an on and off road bike all in one bike. which company makes the best one and what model is it. There a lot of bikes that fit this catergory. Personally I would choose a 250cc bike that has great electrics for the road. Decent suspension for the bush. Least complex design so it is easy to maintain. Long model run so you can get parts and accessories. Yamaha and Honda have excellent quality control so you know it will last. The Yamaha TT250R fits this category. Has a 12 volt H4 halogen Headlight. Excellent Fully adjustable suspension (I have seen them at MX tracks and they are more than capable). Hardly any maintenance required to keep in top condition. Plenty of spares and after market stuff available. 27Km per Litre road use. Also Cheap to register and insure. If you want a trail bike that you can take on the highway, check out the Kawasaki KLR650. The US special forces use them in Iraq. They are inexpensive, dependable, have good ground clearance, off road suspension, and powerful enough to load up with gear and take long distances on the highway. almost every motorcycle manufacturer makes a good dual sport bike. the fact is that there is not a bike that is the best it is the bike that fits you. In my opinion a KTM 450 exc will perform well on and off road. off road those bikes handle well because the suspension is designed for that. On road the bike is light enough to turn easily. Also, the engine is not so high performance that you have to be an experienced rider to ride the 450. Basically what i am saying is that is your decision you have to figure out what will work for you. I simply gave you my opinion on dual sport bikes. |
