I recently took a nasty spill on my road bike...luckily the only thing wrong with my road bike is my shifter on the right in not aligned. The handlebar does not look bent it, the shifter just looks bent over the the left where the bike weight landed. How do i remove the shifter and re-aligned it?
Easy... just slide the rubber grip away from the handlebar. You'll see a small ribber plug. Remove it, align the lever, and tighten the screw.
Um, sometimes the plug is missing, but the procedure is the same.
