Marry for love or separate for the love of the outdoors? |
I think I met the love of my life.......but there's one problem. I love to do outdoor things like camping, hiking and road bike racing and she is an overweight academic. I really really love her and we fit together in all other aspects, but I also desparately want a partner who I can enjoy the outdoors with. She has agreed to try biking and hiking, but she hates bugs and has horrible knees. I have asked her to marry me, but now I'm having second thoughts. Any ideas? keep working at it if you really love her. also, it's ok to do some things by yourself or with friends. I personally wouldn't break up with someone I loved for this reason. You really need to try and show her the nicer side of nature. Spray her with off, that usually helps. Would you rather have a woman who was outdoorsy but you didn't really love? If this is something you both want to make work you comprise. Married people do it everyday. try to get her to do more things with you outdoors. start out easy like walking,( bring bug spray) Little my little i'm sure she will start to enjoy these things. Swimming is also a lot of fun and won't be hard on her knees. Let her go and marry an academic person and you go apply for a job with Yogi bear where you can choke yourself with mother nature, hike and bike !!! You said you love her and you also said she is a overweight acadamic. Sorry if you really love her you would love her for what she is and how she looks or anything like that would not even come into it. I think you really need to take a look at what you class as love. if you love her then you can look past her imperfections. you never know, she could like hiking/biking. |
