Approximately how much time do aero bars save?


Assume a relatively flat 20 mile tt with an avg speed of 20-23 mph. Looking for additional time savings over a standard road bike.

About 4sec per km, or 6sec per mile.
In my experience, aerobars generally increase my speed between 1-1.5 mph on both flat and hills
Very little. Plus you sacifice breathing by tightening chest cavity bent over. If you use them, lengthen the stem to bring you out more over the wheel to expand your chest.
