I have been riding 30 miles a day for the past couple of weeks and this weekend I was thinking about riding up to Lake Sacandaga and then riding back home. It is just over 30 miles each way. I should be able to manage that fine right? Should I bring a back pack with some extra water bottles and a snack maybe? What time in the day should I leave (I currently leave around 3 or 4 pm to avoid the heat)?
If I manage this trip without a problem then next time I will head to lake george and so on. I just wish I had a road bike instead of a hybrid =/
You'll be hitting a few good hills but you should make it OK. With the weather being hot lately in NY, you should definitely bring some water with you. |
