Ive been wanting to buy a pocket bike but i have a few questions? |
its says that i cant ride them on pubic roads or sidewalks or off road so then were can i? im currently in las vegas NV and my property aint that big so.. Who says you cannot ride them off-road? What then can you do, use it as a foot stool? That would make for one giant paper weight! I guess there is some truth to this because of municipal noise ordinances. Also it appears a few of the local state parks in your area only permit fishing, boating, hunting, and such things. The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles can describe off-road vehicles better than I can. Off-highway vehicles may not be driven on public streets. http://www.dmvnv.com/motorcycle.htm#atvs... Any motorized vehicle which does not have the normal safety equipment such as lights and mirrors or is not built to federal vehicle standards is an off-highway vehicle and is restricted to off-road use only. This includes all-terrain vehicles, pocket bikes, gopeds and snowmobiles. There are no driver license or minimum age requirements for off-highway vehicles. City and county governments may designate small portions of public streets for access to or from off-road areas only. (NRS Chapter 490) So I decided to research the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service. The only results were for Northern Nevada. So I decided to check out the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Land Management. See it for yourself. http://www.blm.gov/nv/st/en/fo/lvfo/blm_... */End of Line.
