Which cars have bike detecting devices?

70,000 motorcyclists have been killed or seriously injured in the last ten years ( Department of transport official Road Statistics) . Clearly passing a car test is a licence to kill!

I have to disagree with Rock Style on one statement, motorcycles are MORE dangerous than cars. Less protection on a bike. Sometimes it is the motorcycle rider's fault. There has been more accidents with the driver of the car at fault around here (N.E.Arkansas).Out of the ones that are biker's fault, about 75% were showing out. Drivers of cars are not paying attention, and don't see us. Look Twice, Save A Life!............................ You Didn't See Me
I saw you, hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line.
But, you didn't see me, put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday.
I saw you, pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk.
But, you didn't see me,
playing Santa at the local mall.
I saw you, change your mind about going into the restaurant.
But, you didn't see me, attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief.
I saw you, roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by.
But, you didn't see me, driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window.
I saw you, frown at me when I smiled at your children.
But, you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless.
I saw you, stare at my long hair.
But, you didn't see me, and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love.
I saw you, roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves.
But, you didn't see me, and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none.
I saw you, look in fright at my tattoos.
But, you didn't see me, cry as my children where born and have their name written over and in my heart.
I saw you, change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere.
But, you didn't see me, going home to be with my family
I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be.
But, you didn't see me, when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane.
I saw you, yelling at your kids in the car.
But, you didn't see me, pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me.
I saw you, reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road.
But, you didn't see me, squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn.
I saw you, race down the road in the rain.
But, you didn't see me, get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date.
I saw you, run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time.
But, you didn't see me, trying to turn right.
I saw you, cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in.
But, you didn't see me, leave the road.
I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass.
But, you didn't see me. I wasn't there.
I saw you, go home to your family.
But, you didn't see me.
Because, I died that day you cut me off.
I was just a biker,.....
A person with friends and a family.
BUT, YOU DIDN'T SEE ME
they all do they just don't use them. mirrors. you have to pass a test to get a lisence to ride motorcycles.
Every car has one fitted as standard...its called the driver. There have been a number of faulty units fitted though!
Whereas riding a motorcycle without having to pass a test or take lessons is an abject lesson in safety.
I agree.. Most people are just too darned lazy to look in the other lane. Check your mirrors, Check your blind spot, THEN change lanes!
i agree "passing a car test is a licence to kill" but out of these 70'000 how many were white lining? how many were speeding? how many were wheeling in front of speed cameras so they don't get caught? riding a bike is just a dangerous for car users as it is for bike users. every one need to be more care full on the road.
In 14-15years of riding i can say the idiots are riding or driving anything on the public highway.
I personally think the problem is partly:

1. Age of being able to ride a moped should be risen from 16.
2. People wanting to take a motorcycle test should have a tiered training scheme to stop people with little or no expierience jumping on a high-performance bike.
3. a renewal system for all vehicle drivers, if you havnt driven or riden for a year , a compulsary refresher course.
4. Heavier fines for road infringements
5. more speed camaras(one per lamp-post)
6. put lumps, bumps and pot holes in the road
7. any under 35 who buys a astra, citroen saxo or corsa has to pay 30,000 pounds for third party insurance - full stop!
8. if you drive a volvo, cumpulsary floggings once per week
9. use of mobile phones whilst driving, will result in labotomys
10. failure to drive your vehicle properly will result in electro-shock treatment
11. joy riders should have thier arms and legs cut off and given to people who need them.
12. all white vans should be 'on-the-spot' crushed
13. once a year, organised UK death race 2000 run.
14. fitment of anti aircraft cannons to polce helicopters and a machine gun to 'take out' joy-riders who are speeding away from the police cars
15 All cars should be eventuatly linked to a mass computer system, so drivers dont need to bother having anoying steering wheel and can concentrate more on reading, eating, watching tv, answering the phone or sleeping.
