How fast have you had your sport bike.? |
I am just wondering since I am too scared right now to go to fast. I watched a video of a turbo Busa running in the 200's. I have a GSXr 600. Just wondering how many people actually do this on the road? MAN I THINK YOU BETTER TAKE The Motorcycle Safety Foundation庐 CLASS AND BUILD UP YOUR SKILLS BEFORE YOU END UP ON YOUR BACK RIDING TO THE HOSPITAL The Motorcycle Safety Foundation庐 http://www.msf-usa.org/ is the internationally recognized developer of the comprehensive, research-based, Rider Education and Training System (MSF RETS). YOU NEED TO TAKE A Source(s): http://www.msf-usa.org/ 70mph when it got nicked i found the speedometer in the woods I had my 1997 Suzuki RF900 up to 164mph, 4 miles further down the road there was a state trooper on the side of the road waiting for me. I knew what was up so I pulled over and shut the bike off and took off my helmet. When he asked if I knew why he pulled me over I just looked down and said "no seatbelt?" His reply was simply "nope, that ain't it!" my 95 suz katana 600 (stage 3 dyno) went 0-155 in about 12 seconds, then a wobble in the concrete road almost put me down, and that was a clean freeway i drive on all the time. it was fun, but i keep it under 120 now. I'm not sure what year your gsxr600 is, but I had an '02 600 and can tell you about that model. The magazines have measured that model on a radar at just about 165mph off the showroom floor. I can tell you that the speedo is not accurate and has about a 10% error once you reach triple digits and top it out. Most modern bikes have a pretty significant speedo error problem. The hayabusas would be about 10% too high as well. You can't and shouldn't do this on any road. That is what the race track is for! |
