I want to take my motorcycle test and i want to know how much in total it is going to cost. I know how to ride one with ease and changing gears is easy and maneuvering is easy as i ride off road bikes nearly everyday CBT - 拢65 Direct Access 3 day course - approx 拢300 including theory and practical test fees. Then you wanna get a kawasaki zx6 like me!! Ha ha Only joking! If your experienced then go for about a 400cc - alternatively get a sporty 125cc and you only have to do your CBT test, stick a couple of L plates on your 125cc and your away!! yeah but you need road sense to pass your test, so if you are young this might be a problem. Why don't you go for your "CBT" first, this is required anyway. It's not expensive and it will give the instructor a chance to admire your absolutely fantastic motorcycling skills. Its one thing zooming about a public park on an unregistered trail bike, but it is quite ANOTHER thing changing lanes in the rain, at 60 mph with a white transit van stuck up your a rse. You should also think about doing your hazard perception, at least start practicing it . Give the hazard perception a bash because something tells me you might have a problem getting through that. That's where I did mine, in 1996 it cost 拢325 for 4 days zero-to-hero, but that was before stepped licencing was introduced (I did it all on a 125 to get a full licence). Costs depends on state and/or country you live in. Call your local DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) they should be able to tell you. You also want to ask if they provide the bikes or should you bring you own. If you are supposed to provide your own bike be sure to have someone who is a licensed motorcycle rider ride your bike and you drive a car, then if/when you pass the test you can ride the bike back home.
