Does anyone wear diaper bike shorts without wearing anything over them? |
It's bad enough to wear spandex, wearing padded shorts feel weird. They feel great in all those bumpy roads, I know it wouldn't want to be withput them in puddles and bumps. I just don't feel confortable not wearing something over them. Most cyclists do not wear anything over the padded shorts. Adding clothing increases body temperature, and this is contraindicated/noncompetitive for summer sports. Don't worry, it is just one of those odd looking things that is actually perfectly normal. For me, the padded shorts are actually much less embarassing because my stuff doesn't stick out so far, or so easily reveal its intentions. ;) Dude, just get a sexy bike and don't worry about your shorts. Anything sport-centric is attractive anyway. you are free to wear anything... because we have the rigths right? they dont care bout ours.... Yes may be there r some.... I where bib nicks on the road bike and the mountain bike. at the end of the day as long as you are comfortable then you will enjoy the ride. I never throw anything over them. it is not a fashion show or a fashion statement you are on a bike. If some one wants to look at what youve got its their eys and mind to be scared! bike mechanic and store manager, They make a bike short that looks like regular shorts with the padding in them but they are much cooler looking there called baggies any bike store carries them or sporting good stores. Every non-cyclist that sees you thinks you look gay. That's just the way it is, and as a cyclist you'll get over it. But remember that the ones hollering out their car windows are out of shape slobs that WISH they could huf their butts up that hill like you! Other cyclists really don't care, I promise. Be proud of your keister! |
