What its your best advise if you have to ride alone on a dual purpose bike?

i did not have any partners to ride so i need to ride alone on highways and dirt roads but i worry about a fall or something what is your best advice?

Even if you don't hurt yourself consider this-a bike can go farther in an hour than you can walk in a day. If your bike gets mangled you may have to spend the night somewhere, even the southwest gets cold at night and everywhere else in the country there is a possibility of rain. Bring synthetic long underwear and a contractor size black garbage bag (unless you have a real bivvy sack) as well as those mylar reflective blankets. You may want to bring sneakers in case you have to walk. Bring water if you are not going to be near a stream, or iodine if you are, and emergency snacks.

Always tell people where you are going and when you should be back.

Stay positive, an adventure is just like riding around a curve, keep your eyes focused on where you want to go, not at what you are trying to avoid.
Practice your skills in a big yard(safe area) and look into a safety course in you area. Skills are learned.
Get the best boots and helmet you can.

A good pair of boots saved my ankle when I fell off my bike years ago. Sprained instead of
breaking it.

Always tell somebody where you are going.
Take a cell phone if you can.
Carry a GPS locator...or even a cell phone, which can be used to triangulate your position from the cell towers. As for the GPS locators, check with the skiing websites (example: http://www.rei.com/ski/toc/avalanche+saf... , as many of them have them for sale to use in the event of an avalanche. If you are wearing one, and don't show up at home by, say midnight, your family could then contact the appropriate emergency service to have them search out your signal. As for the Cell phone, you'd need to be conscious to use it, in most cases...or someone would have to keep calling you...but, in any event, it IS a possible tool for locating you. But the GPS unit would be preferable.

Make sure that your motorcycle is in tip top condition and that you are physically prepared for the ride.
All great answers....especially about telling someone where you will be going. Leave a detailed itinerary of what your route will be and what days you will be on the route. Give daily updates on your location whenever possible. Carry extra water, clothing, etc. Use your head and good judgment and you'll be fine.
