Driving tests? |
Can you take a test on a road legal Quad bike. and is it a car or bike test. I know a bike can only be 125cc and dont know if quads come that small. but I am curious whether you could use it to pass car test. No you can't take your test on a quad. You need a car licence for a quad on the road but you couldn't take a car test on a quad as it doesn't meet the "minimum test vehicle" requirements. These would include proper seat with head restraint for the examiner, seatbelt, roof! etc.. It is classed as a car for licence regulations as by law a motorcycle is defined as having less than 4 wheels. i dont think the examiners would allow this to be used for a driving test of any sort To do the car test the examiner needs to be in the same vehicle as you. If you had my examiner it would either break the quad or you would not fit on it. He was a fat bastard. He got in the Focus I was using and the drivers side lifted about 6 inches. You cant take the car test on a quadbike. However, if you get the car licence in a car, it allows you to drive the quad because you automatically get the B1. |
