Can you use quad bikes on roads? |
Can you use quad bikes on roads? Yes, but only if you have a driving license and its insured yup, may not be leagal but you can some quad bikes are road legal and have registration documents too so depends what type of quad you have got YUP it is. watched all about it on fifth gear on telly last night. as long as its roadworthy (apparently not many models are) and display a registeration plate. http://www.northants.police.uk/default.a... you can do anything aslong as you dont get caught You can get road legal quads and off road quads. To be road legal they have to have speedo, wing mirrors, lights, indicators, road tyres and be registered etc, road taxed, insured and number plates........... just like a normal motorbike bike would. Most reputable retailers will advise you on the legalities of this. Some quads come ready for the road and some you have to have adapted. dont listen to anyone that tells you you can take any quad on the road. get the right advise. depends on the make model and its condition.if u do get urs registered remember its subject to same rules as other road going vehicles |
