About how many calories am I burning? |
Each time I bike (which is 3-4 times a week), I bike 15 miles on a "normal" road. Uphill, flat, downhill. About how many calories do you think I could be burning. (I weigh 120 if that has anything to do with it). How quick will it tone me too? Also, would I burn more calories biking or walking. Maybe I should incorporate some walking during the week when I'm not biking too? Try this online calorie counter: http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_bur... There is an Activity Calculator where you can input your weight, the type of activity and length of time you do the activity. It will tell you how many calories you burn with each activity. Check out the list as the activities are not limited to exercise - you can burn a lot of calories doing yard work, housework or even grocery shopping! you can;t burn much calories in biking. You need to spend at least and hour biking to burn about 150-300cal for your weight its always best to keep switching up your cardio routines to continuously challenge your body. eventually just doing one cardio exercise, your body will adapt and become more efficient at it. therefore you won't burn as many calories as you were before. 1 hr biking = 400 cal 1 hr walking (very very brisk pace) = 270 cal My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product which I think helps a lot in the process. I recommend you check this website http://www.greatpop.info , they have a free trial and you only pay 6.95$ shipping and handling. Good luck! I'd go with the caloriesperhour.com as the other person mentioned. I use it a lot to track my progress. And 15 miles? Wow that's awesome. I used to bike that much a few years ago when I lived in the country. I hear a typical person can burn up to 500 calories an hour from biking. |
