How would you handle the following situation: A person comes up to you using profanity trying to provoke you? |
A man today on a bike who was out in the road causing cars to swerve around him and you trying your best not to hit him; all the sudden he appears out of nowhere in my space and he said; whats ******* wrong with you and hes going on remind you in a parking lot with a lot of witnesses but, you have your mother or a family member with you and you dont want to go to jail and lose your job. While this going on people walking by he confronting me for something we are both in the wrong about but,he cursing in front of me calling my mother and me stupid. Would you : A. Whoop his *** B.Next time you see him beat him so,bad that hes in the ICU C. Ignore him and maintain your cool as I did Ignore the idiot C you did the right thing However, I'm a woman, and I would cry and feel victimized. You did absolutly the right thing -- absolutly nothing beneficial / good would come out of it. C . ignore him and keep your cool- this shows a maturity and strength of character not displayed by the guy ranting and losing his cool what will you gain by beating him up- nothing but an assault charge and possible trip to jail and it shows you have no self control and are arrogant. You kept oyur cool- you did the right thing! curse the hell out of him!! Answer "C" seems best. If he is in a bad mood, anything that you say will probably be misinterpreted and serve to further enrage him. In spite of what I just said, I think that maybe there is a fourth option. I might have kept my cool, but still asked him what his problem was. I woud then calmly LISTEN to waht he said in reply; If he insisted that I almost hit him, then I would calmly explain that I am sorry if I came too close to him, but I was trying my best to avoid him, and he should take more care for his own safety since he was riding a bike on a busy highway that was not designed for bike traffic. I would ask him not to curse me or insult my mother (since she had nothing to do with it), tell him that I will call the police if he doesn't leave me alone, and then just leave. I would defecate in my hand and throw it at him. Fight fire with fire. |
