Will not ideal when hot? |
When i ride about 40 miles and stop and get something to eat when I come out and start my bike it will stall it will not ideal, it is a 2007 road king i just installed d&d exausy ,screaming power command, and a bigger air intake, if i keep the reves up I can keep it from stalling at a red light, it is EFI, what is wrong? It's a harley. It's gonna crap out like this all the time. And even when it is running you have to deal with the fact that Harley Davidson is the worlds most efficient way to turn gasoline into noise without the harmful side effect of horsepower. Only 3 things to stop it from running: ignition, fuel, oxygen. You most likely need to check out your spark plug/ignition system to make sure its firing properly. Could just be a fouled plug. A couple of simple suggestions. Your fuel cut off valve may be leaking through and flooding the engine. When you shut it down, turn the fuel valve off. Being EFI you may have some type electronic problem. It really sounds like a flooding problem. Pops My thoughts If it is that new it should still be under warranty...Take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it .Don't listen to the idiots that tell you it's going to happen all the time,It is probably something simple that you're over looking.I've been riding Harleys for way over 30 years and nobody builds a better bike. Most people that talk crap have never sat on one. youve got a 2 year guarentee dont you ? sounds like you need a reflash on your power commander or it was not programed correctly initially. I was at an ice cream shop, and saw this guy on a Harley pull up, trying to look cool. He finished his ice cream and couldn't get his new bike to start (same isue as your bike). I felt bad for him, so me and my buds gave him a push start. Poor guy. Sorry about your problem, but its a Harley. You have to expect these issues from a manufacturer that uses antiquated designs for its 2007 models. Take it back to the dealer and have him troubleshoot it. PS. Buy an extended warranty. |
