Help W/Honda '92 CH80 Moped? |
New owner in desprate need of assistance here. I bought this bike from a guy who trashed it and I'm trying to give her some TLC and get her back into shape. She runs fairly well and with a good tune up has gotten up to 45 on the open road. My problem is that I'm having problems locating replacement parts. She was dropped & several pieces are broken (tail lights, side pcs etc.) & I cant find them. Ive tried Ebay, Edmunds, even honda and they state they dont make them anymore, try the junk yards. Thing is in MI there arent too many bikes due to the weather. Not gonna be here long so it doesnt matter to me. I just want to get her shining in her glory. I would also like to locate a manuel. I read where Edmunds had one, but on their site I could only find car & truck manuels, no bikes/mopeds. Help anyone!! Yes...a woman on a bike... hi you may want to try some of these sorry I no on-line links but try these anyway D&M orange Co.motorcycle Salvage@714-554-9555 North County cycle@ 619-726-8747 Moped Maina@ 959-951-7355 Rancho M.C. Dismantlers @1-800-494-2925 lots of luck :) on many bikes the parts are similar, and with some ingenuity, you can make side markers from another brand/model. just make sure you buy in pairs so to balance the look. by the way, with a bit of forethought, it can be thought of as pimping out your ride..or renovations to a house... different look but functions the same. if your motorcycle has pedals then it actually is a moped. if it's a moped made in 92 then if you can find parts your probably gonna pay too much for them. buy a motorcycle, you can get a rebel or virago for under 4000.00 and those are closer to real motorcycles than anythig with pedals |
