How can I install Nitrous on a KYMCO Exciting 500? Web site? |
I am thinking on Insatlling a Nitrous System on my Kymco Exciting 500. I know there is a video of one on a Yamaha TMax (European Model Only). Just want to blow the smart off's off the road! Know of a good web site? Once a kid on a 600cc crotch rocket said; Nice Moped! I laughed out loud! He then realized his mistake and came up with a better smart a__ answer. Yeah that must be the Rools Royce of Mopeds! Need nitrous for those jerks! OH Yeah! That will be the end of his smart mouth when I go flying by him on My Bike. It's a Bike,You Jerks, and it is more fun than any I've owned. I've had a Yam 1100, Honda 750, 450, 250, & 70cc. Like my Mama always sez,,,, "DON'T DO IT RALPHY,,YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT!!" ................................. All fairy tale and fantasy aside,, NOS is probably the "best mod" you can do. But just like using BB Guns,,, 1) Keep it pointed in a Safe Direction 2) Always Be CERTAIN of Your TARGET Or Disaster & Grief will surely happen. On a STOCK engine,,,they cannot take Much NOS without causing damage. But You can SAFELY still get HUGE Boost with Moderate use,,and not even stress the motor. (Driveline is another matter..???) But even That is not really Dogged by the way NOS is used. Problems start when people are not happy with a 50% Gain in HP. And it's TOO EASY and CHEAP,,,and TEMPTING to go for a 150% Gain Simple & cheap change of the pill/JET,,,,and KABOOM. If a Person retains their Discpline and Remains within Realistic Limits,,, NOS is the SAFEST,GENTLEST path to more power. And it's only ON-DEMAND. So you do not have to live with a Freaky,Finicky Highly Modified Engine FULL-TIME whether you Need/Want the power or not. NOS Kits for bikes are Pricey,,$4~5~600. A HardCore MotorHead can piece a system together from Ebay Parts,,,and save a few bucks. I Do NOT recommend that approach for "Anyone who has to ask about NOS". And I dont mean that in a smartazz or derogatory way. For NOS Novices,,a Complete Kit with Warranty and Factory Support /HELP is far better than Learning the Hard Way. Theres NOT really very Wide Coverage for easy,Bolt-On Direct Fit to bikes and stuff Most kits take at least a little mechanical ability AND Creativity. ................................. Anyway,,NOS aka Nitrous Oxide Systems is"the Leader" I 'spose in the Biz. They make Bike/ATV NOS Kits Here's their website http://www.holley.com/types/motorcycle%2... ................................. Here's a Retail Vendor of the Kit that would suit your Kymco http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail... Thats for " Over 500cc Twin Cylinder Engine" ................................. Heres for "Over 250CC SINGLE Cyl Engine" kit http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail... ................................. I realize yours is a 500 Single Cyl motor. Best Bet is to Contact NOS,,,and get Their Recommendation on which kit would be better The Obvious difference is a Twin Kit includes a PAIR of injection nozzles,,one for each cyl Flow Rates, etc,,and any further differences,,,I cant even Guess >>>>>>>>>>>>> Read Up on ANYTHING ya can find about it, Including How To USE it. It's literally like pushing START Button on a Rocket. And KEEP Your Wits about You,,,and Your Common Sense. A LITTLE is Awesome. A Little More,,,is AWFUL. That's NO Exageration,,,that's Really the way it goes. Dont expect to try to match the crotch rockets at Their game/top speed. You'll endanger yourself. Remember "WINNING" aint necssarily the same thing as "Beatin' 'Em" You can at least shut them UP, even if you cant quite shut them down Be Careful,,and Have Fun I do not think you need NOS. I think you just need some maturity. Who cares what some squids think? It falls under the category of 'ride your own bike'. Nitrous System may look totally cool at the movies, but Nitrous is BAD for your engine! It will kill your rings, heads, etc. real fast. This will cost you big $$$ and your bike will be off the road because of it. Oh yea, parts, they never have all the ones you need in stock and its takes forever when you have to order them. Nitrous System bad idea, but looks good on TV. Good luck, |
