Please help i need justice against police? |
I am not in North or South america but indeed in asia. Well, it is better not the name the country. Police here are coward and love money. They almost break all the law here. Today my friend and i went out for a bike ride not to speed and just around slowly and my friend who is the one riding didnt wear a helmet (we know it break the law) the police caught. ok, i have nothing against it. THE PROBLEM is that, after the police caught us he went to the shopping center which is just across the road and shopping. Didnt came out. He told me to pay fine in the police station which is a mile away. I saw a lot of people who ride a bike didnt wear a helmet passing by. He didnt caught them. I feel sooo mad. I need justice. Please tell me what to do. I am just 18, i have no money to go to a lawyer. But what do i need to do to sue them? I'm sure they need evidence Sounds like we're limited to give you advice because we aren't familiar even with teh country you are talking about. Find out if there is a way you could file a complaint against the cop, at the police station. But it sounds like a local lawyer may be the best to advise you. Good luck. go sit on the steps of the nearest court house and set your self on fire in protest...Buddist monks did it in protest of the Vietnam war and it worked for them There is nothing you can do. Best to learn early that life isn't always fair. Suing them would cost much more than the ticket. Oh my. Do you have the right to appear before a Judge? Or do the police have the final say? In the USA, if you get a ticket that is harsh, you have the right to have your case heard by a Judge. He has the power to give leniency and lower the fine or get rid of it. If the Judge looks kindly on you and it is your first offense, such as a traffic fine, he can send you to a traffic safety class. You pay 50- 100 dollars for a 6 hour class that goes over all the rules of traffic safety( can be boring). If you do that then they will not give you any points. More that 3 points in 1-2 years and your insurance goes up. Very costly. I'm not a lawyer, and I can't and won't give legal advice, and laws vary widely around the world. The police don't have to arrest everyone who they see breaking the same law you did, they saw you break the law, you were caught and you have an individual case. However, you didn't say that you were arrested and booked in a police station, were jailed, or had to make bail to get out. So, did the police let you off with a warning, give you a traffic ticket, or did you sign a promise to appear? If they didn't formally cite you then you can probably ignore it. If you were cited then you'll have to appear in your equivalent of a traffic court, and you may, ** or may not ** not need to have a lawyer.... well given the rampant and casual corruption in the police, i doubt that things are any different with other people in the judicial system. I suggest you just get over it, or just to be sure, enter a complaint with the local police department (where these guys belong to) or a formal complaint with the courts. If you live in a third world country, i am sorry, but given my experience i doubt that the system will respond to you as efficiently or satisfactorily as in some other countries. Sorry, good luck. its easyer; to just pay the fine ,and wear your helmit all the time. if they persist in bugging you then you have them on harassment.. AND if he's not wearing a neck tie ask him why is he out of uniform? .If I had my way they'd be charged 200$ a day for not wearing it., and everytime they get suspended it should be without pay and not with it. and if they get caught being drunk on duty send them to the unemployment line!!! I don't listen to them much any more, there so full of B.S. its not funny. they sit on their a-ss's handing out traffic tickets while 9 year old kids are taking automatic guns to school..sorry kind of got off topic just go's to show you cop's being lazy bugs everyone... |
