When we purchase new Bike,the Lifetime Road Tax we pay , is that Road Tax applicable for all Indian States? It works something like this. If you want to shift your bike to a state other than the one where it is originally registered and the Lifetime Road Tax paid, you collect a NOC from the originating state and get the bike registered in the new state. That requires no further road tax. see .. it;s very simple .. as per the transport act .. any private registered vehicle can go anywhere in India without any problems. But some state make create a mess with this .. for example .. cars are expensive in mumbai so people prefer to get their new cars from Gujarat and then drive it down to mumbai. But somewhere down the line the rule says you cannot be in the visiting state for more than 30 days. so the traffic cops fine the people by saying that rule say that you have to register your vehicle in the state you are driving .. you are allowed to override this rule for the period of 30 days from date you enter that state... after 30 days .. you have to re-register the vehicle. Yes.In the RC book there will be an endorsement about that |
