Motorcycle - what new brands offer a nice 1960-70's body styling of the Triumph/Norton type? |
or more bluntly - what current motorcycle designs aren't either something a little more exciting than a Honda would be nice too - although a Honda would last forever Triumph makes the Bonneville. Modern bike that looks like the older bikes they used to make. last time i saw something retro was kawasaki w650. you can find some on ebay sleepydo hit the nail right on the head- definitely the Kawasaki w650- retro british styling with jap bike dependability & no leaks! a cult classic that was only sold in the states for 2 years Norton is still producing, http://www.nortonmotorcycles.com as is Triumph http://www.triumph.co.uk/usa/motorcycles... Here is the one I think you want, the kawasaki w650 Check out the Royal Enfeilds Get a newer Triumph. Great bike that looks just like the old ones. I get asked all the time how long it took me to restore mine. The new, modern Hinckley Triumph has a nice selection of retro styling of the older Meriden Triumphs of the 60's and 70's. These new, modern Hinckley models are state of the art machines with all the latest updates and some models are in the 650cc and up range that you seek. They seem to hold their value very well and handle very good on the road. Dealership base seems organized and well run. Problem with a restoration is that you still have an older machine when done. Sounds like a Triumph is the way you want to go. Good Luck !! Not exactly sur whether U want retro or just naked. |
