Motorcycle Safety Check?

I had my bike on the road in 2006 but not in 2007 I did however renew my sticker but not my insurance do I need to get a safety check done to get a new sticker again. I live in Canada so can only someone with Canadian knowledge respond please.

It varies a little from province to province, but here is a generic list used in Nova Scotia for all vehicles.

1. Verify legal registration (Certificate of Registration, Vehicle Permit or Bill of Sale)
2. Ensure documentation corresponds with actual vehicle description
3. Remove and destroy existing inspection sticker.
4. Check all glass
5. Check rear view mirror(s)
6. Check horn
7. Check brakes
8. Check windshield wipers/washer and defroster
9. Check steering and suspension systems
10. Check exhaust system
11. Check fuel system
12. Check lights
13. Check tires and wheels
14. Check coupling (if applicable)
15. Check chain or drive shaft guard (where applicable)
16. Check body components including seat belts
17. Check auxiliary equipment
