Do you remember much of your childhood?

I remember my childhood, I miss my childhood so much that I wish I was a child again. I used to live in Connecticut, I remember my parents taking me to Foxwood every weekend, that was fun. I remember I scream with joy on getting a new bike, going a road trip across New England one summer. That was so much fun, I missed the ol'days. I love my childhood.

Yes, I do remember quite a lot about my childhood. I remember many great things and also many sad and disturbing things. I remember the first time I blew a large bubble with bubble gum while looking at the Sunday Funnies in the newspaper. I remember my Dad teaching me how to ride my first bike. I remember being put out the back door in my underwear and forced to stay out there in the summer time as a young girl and being afraid to tell my parents that the old man across the alley from us kept showing his privates to me and scaring me half to bits. I remember my mom teaching me how to draw on a child's blackboard in my bedroom. I remember hiding in the bathroom when my mother tried to put ear drops in my ears. Many good and many bad memories. I loved my childhood, also. I also remember the great summer vacations my parents, grandparents and us children took to northern Wisconsin to go fishing. We staying in a rustic cabin along a lake and fished from a row boat. We lived in Illinois. Great Question!! Brought back great memories!

I really enjoyed your question and also what your own description of your memories were. Thank you for all of this. Report It

What I understand from my so far life experience is that when we are getting ahead of our life path, the ways which we passed over was more attractive that the present one. Early childhood memories are brighter than in the adolescent memories, while these memories are sweeter than the youth memories and so on. So first was the best.

My childhood memories involve alcohol. I'm not being funny either. My parents had parties all the time, and the adults thought it would be fun to get me drunk, til I built a tolerance to it. The only way to escape was to be outside til bedtime.

I remember a lot of it, but there are a good many holes. I think it's just that we don't remember everything, and it gets worse as we age, and have more experiences to remember.
There is only so much room in our brains, so some stuff gets deleted!!

Yes, I remember a lot of my childhood.
Good things and bad things. My first memories are as soon as being 3, my first days at school. I'd like to write about it, it was a funny childhood with ups and downs.
