I have an question regarding a recumbent stationary bike?

Hi again, I have a question regarding a recumbent bike. I have arthritis of the hip and knees, and would like to purchase a recumbent bike, because after research, find that they are put less stress on these joints. I have a limited budget, and want to get the best that I can for my needs. I want a no frills bike . No added features. Just a bike to exercise on. Anyone out there that can tell me which bike is well built , and reasonably priced???? Again, thanks

The best place I can think of is sears... i had to pick up a stationaty bike for a woman friend of mine before xmas at Sears and was surprised to see the extent of their inventory... see link

So I suggest you start there.
try a second hand gym equipment place. LOTS AND LOTS of people buy stuff and never use it, and then turn it over barely used for resale!
Walmart has one for $108 and it is great for what you're asking. I own a recumbent bike and I love it. You can always lower the resistance when you need to. It's comfortable, sturdy and easy to use--getting on and off and operating.

I, personally, find that the elliptical training machine is the best for your joints and it gives a great workout. You have to stand up to use it, however; if that is an issue, then the bike will be better for you. Check your local classifieds etc. and you may be able to find some great deals on one or both of these machines ;-)
I own one :-)
