Recumbent bike vs traditional? |
is there any workout quality loss between a recumbent bike and a normal exercise bike? My husband is a diabetic and exercise is one of the best things he can do to bring down his blood sugar level. After buying several exercise machines and working out on each of them, the recumbent bike was the most efficient in bringing down his blood sugar, and it didn't hurt his knees or hips. I use it also and really think it is a good work-out. Good luck! www.creativedesignunlimited.com A recumbent bike is supposed to be better for your back, but with a normal exercise bike you can get a lot more intense workout. You can stand up and pedal really hard, and you can take on harder resistance. I think recumbent bikes are just more comfortable to ride... Just look at exercise bikes. If recumbent were really more efficient to exercise with, then exercise bikes would come in recumbent. Recumbent = no balance. Other than that, its the same. |
