What's the ideal distance between pedals (17 cm) and the bike seat? |
The seat will be used constantly, and slightly recumbent. With the rider seated and the pedals centered under the ball of the feet and the ankles in a neutral position, the knee should be bent slightly: 10-15 degrees. This distance varies according to inseam, foot size, and may even vary from shoe to shoe for the same person. The ideal distance depends totally on the inseam length of the rider and the rider's flexibility. There is no one idea distance for the "average" rider. |
