im 22 m im 5'5 about 160lbs i want to get in shape even when i was thinner i wasnt in actually shape i have to go up 3 short flights of stairs in my house and half of the time that seems like a workout for me..in my room i really only have room for an exersise bike and my landlord has a treadmill im going to use..my questions are about the bike first off what kind of bike is better to lose weight and for general fitness upright or recumbent..what features should i look for in a bike,what are good brand,im willing to spend up to 300 dollars so if you can even recommend some that would be great..i wanna lose weight,strengthen my legs,tone my abs by a used bowflex at a yard sale this spring Try an elliptical. I like it better than a bike and you'll burn more calories. There's ellipticals out there that are less then $300. I would buy an elliptical. It has very low impact on your joints and will allow you to work pretty much your entire body. The alternative is running outside ( which is free). To be honest with you I think you should go out and get a cycle bike. You could get alot of fresh air and meets lots of people while doing it at clubs, races etc....., it will also be alot cheaper than $300 so it will save you money. And it will give you all the things you want tone etc. good luck! |
