Suggestions on Christmas Gifts for 2 boys ages 5 and 7?

They love action figures and have several but they break everything they touch...haha, as children do, I suppose. They both have bikes and little razor scooters but Im not really sure what would be a "hit" with them this year. Blocks are out - Im tired enough of picking up pieces of action figures. :) Any suggestions would be welcomes, especially if you have children around that age and have any personal experience with what they enjoy! Thanks so much for your time. Serious answers only, please. Toys cost so much these days that I dont want to purchase something that wont be put to good use or play. :)

In response to one comment, my children are very appreciative of the things they have. They dont get new things often, but like all cheap toys these days, they break. They may not be the neatest children ever but they're very good children and they deserve a nice Christmas. I only asked for nice ideas and not judgment on a situation that those who pass it have no understanding of. Ideas only please. Thank you.

Boys love cars and trucks. As long as whatever you get is NOT made in China. 80 % of all toys sold in the USA are made in China but you can find toys online made in Europe or the USA.
Legos are made in Denmark. Those are fun.

Nothing made in china is a good start.

How about opening a CD account for each of them at the bank, get the kind that you can make deposits into anytime, and for any amount. They can learn to watch money grow....don't let them touch it till they are 18 at least.

When ever you make deposits into those accounts, always take the receipt and write a note on it saying 'happy 4th b-day' or what ever. (I imagne you will also buy them toys also)
But when they are grown, and you give them the packets- they will be able to read all the notes, and appreciate the fact that even tho the toys are long gone, thier money has grown!

I am doing this for my 2 grand kids because like many kids, they have a lot of people buying them too much stuff. It is piling up, and they outgrow it, or tire of it so soon.
The 10 year old is starting to want to add some of her own allowance. The other one is only 2.

Well that happened with my cousins. My grandma (grew up with them) finally stopped buyin them expensicve stuff. Tehy got cars from dollar tree (still ran and stuff, just alot more enixpensive) they have action figures things too

By the sounds of it they don't appreciate what they have already, and before you say that they are only 5 and 7, they are able to know the value of things and have been taught to clean up after they have had play time.

it is not matter of appreciation or not, any kid of that age likes to explore whats there and this is a prove for their smart mind
