Skaters: is it rude for amateurs to play in the bottom circle of a skating park thing?

today me n my friends (who dont know anything about skating) were playing inside the deep circle thing with a razor scooter and sliding down the sides there were only like 2 or 3 skaters there and they stayed on the top of the circle (away from us) but im just wondering is there like an unwritten rule that goes against us? aka was it rude?

the people at the top are really good
and a lot of them get pissed off when you don't move
but i pissed them off too when i first started skkating
it's kinda funny actually anyways

they dont own the skatepark

I don't skate but a scooter sounds dangerous and could cause injury to other skaters.

i used to skate but i didnt think that kind of stuff was rudeits a public skate park. if they tell you to move just tell them to stick their board up their ***

Well it's a skatepark. By the sounds of it you probably can't even use this "circle".

First of all it's called a bowl and secondly the "sides" are called quarter pipes. The skateboarders are there to skate. When I'm at the skatepark the last thing I need is kids on a scooter messing about and getting in your way. That's why we have scooters banned from the park.

Although if someone came in with a scooter and actually tried to use the bowl properly(roll in and attempt some sort of trick/carve) they would be respected and not asked to leave.

Skateparks are not playgrounds. They are for having fun but you have to wait for your turn and respect others first.
