What will it do to the scooter also I have an answer for you. However, I don't know how old you are but in the old cars, if you used an higher voltage battery, man the head lights would be very bright and the car would race while parked.
The fact of the matter is, I work on these Scooters and I work on Motorcycles. If you use a motorcycle battery of considerable higher voltage, you would most definitely burn out your wiring harness.
There are reasons that a Scooter uses a lower battery voltage. So, I would suggest that you use a battery more suitable for your Scooter. A battery replacement is a lot less in cost then replacing an entire wiring harness (LABOR).
Short term use for a day or two is acceptable. Anything beyond that, and you are putting your two wheeled devil in harms way.
Happy Riding and
Good Luck That is a totally different battery. My son has a Razor scooter that is a lithium battery.Your asking for problems if you try to interchange. There are several links that sell Razor style batteries, dimensions are very important to,Razor has several distributors on the Internet with batteries for sale.Good Luck You would need a deep cycle sealed battery of the same amperage/voltage. A motorcycle battery is not designed for prolonged use like a deep cycle sealed battery. It may work but not have the same capacity as the battery designed for your scooter. So in other words it may work for a short time. You should stick with a sealed battery because acid will eat through your skin if it is tipped over and leaks out onto your clothes. It is a mild acid but the potential is still there. |
