What to wear to bike? |
what do i wear to bike in the early morning or at night? also, how can i keep my phone and keys, etc. with me without putting it in my pocket so it doesn't swing around while i bike? im going to have a hydration pack, probably something small like this http://www.sportchalet.com/product/index... go to wal mart or a bike shop wal mart is cheaper and get you a bag that fits under your bike seat and you can put your cell and keys and tool mine is big enough to hold tools and a spare tube so it would hold your keys and cell i think i pay $10 for my bag and i love it I have an "off brand" hydration pack and it has more room for gear and stuff than a comparably priced Camelbak. It's a little smaller than a full day pack and has more cargo space than a bladder bag. I can fit a spare shirt, CD/MP3 player, cigarettes/cigars, warm hat for winter, gloves, a cable lock or two, a towel/bandanna, wallet, keys, camera, sunglasses/glasses, phone, plus a book and still have a bit of room left over to stow away a lighting system and a few repair tools. I did have to make some repairs on the bag itself due to the stitching not being up to the task of being overstuffed and coming loose, but now that bag is a favorite of mine for almost any length of ride. Shorts (with pockets) are comfortable. Tshirts and shirts with pockets ( wear with a button closed, so it doesn't swing around). A durable bag maybe made of cloth with a very short handle to hang over the handlebar. Even a very durable plastic bag to hang over the handlebar will work. wear bright colors no matter what time of day when riding your bike. You want to be seen by people who are not looking for you. As far as keys and phone etc. you can buy an inexpensive bag that attaches under the seat to carry that gear. Try www.performancebike.com I wouldn't get that, I would get something more like the North Face Mega Mouth bag, I have one and its great. These are kinda cool, small, but big enough to hold keys and cell.... Get a shirt with pockets in the back...that's what I do. Or use my sports bra. |
