Pocket bike oil and gas mix help?

hi i just got a pocket bike its a giovanni 49cc. there was a mixing bottle in the package and it says to mix oil to gas 1:40 mixture. can i just put gas in without any oil? what will happen if i dont put oil? what is this oil exactly? motor oil? where can i get this oil?

it means one part oil to 40 parts gas, if you used a gallon of oil youd need 40 gallons of gas to mix it with, do NOT start with no oil in gas, it will burn up the motor, you need a 2 cycle oil like youd use in a weed eater or chain saw, you can buy the 2 cycle oil in little containers ready to mix with 1 gallon of gas. thats your best bet to keep it simple. they can be found at lowes or home depot or probably wal mart in the lawn and garden area. again dont run straight gas or it will cause damage in a hurry. And make sure its "2 cycle"

No oil means the bike will kerplode. For 2 strokes the oil that is suspended in the gas is used to lubricate the crankshaft during primary compression. Use 2 stroke oil (not 2 stroke injector oil). You should be able to purchase this at any motorcycle shop or power tools shop. the 1:40 mixture means there will be 1 part oil for every 40 parts gasoline. You should be able to bring the mixing bottle into wherever you buy the oil and they can show you how to use it.

Mix it 32:1 for the first gallon for break in. Make sure you heat cycle it also. Ride it around gently for the first 15 minutes without WOT. let it cool COMPLETELY and then ride a little harder for 20 minutes. cool it again and by the 3rd or 4th cycle, you can tear it up all you want! for the res of the pre-mix, you can move to 40:1

Two stroke motor oil. - You put it in because that's
how your engine is designed to lubricate itself.
If you don't put it in, you'll destroy the engine in a
few hours of running.

This is 2 stroke oil, if you do not put this oil in the bikes engine will seize and be useless. You should be able to get it from most bike shops and petrol stations

you cannot run it without oil it wouldnt go right ur supposed to fill the ags to the gas line then add (2 stroke) oil to the rest u can buy oil basicly any car shop auto zone etc...
