HELp fuel leaking? |
Pocket Bike leaking gas? I just bought a pocket bike on ebay. Its a made in China type and was pretty cheap. As soon as I filled the tank with the gas oil mixture it started leaking heavily out the bottom of the bikes over flow tube. If it's coming out the overflow tube, the float in the carb is stuck, try tapping on the floatbowl lightly with a screwdriver handle or something similar, this is not uncommon at all, and once the float frees up, it's very unlikely it will stick again, if that doesn't work you may have to open the floatbowl and spray some carb cleaner in there until the float moves freely,it's unlikely you'll have the problem again once you've resolved it the first time,hope this helps you out. George Source(s): 40 yrs. auto/truck mechanic Shut off that valve down there. is the leak at the botom of the tube where come out of the gass tank? If its there then use a hose clamp there. Easy to fit. Just tightent the clamp it will stop the leak from the tube. |
